Statement Of Faith

1. The Scriptures
We believe that scripture of the Old and New Testaments is inspired by God, and inerrant in their original writings. And, that they are of supreme and final authority in Faith and Conduct  II Tim. 3:16,17

2. God
We believe in the one God eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. Psalms 83:18, Matt. 28:19, John 10:30

3. Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary and is true God and true Man.  Matt 1:20,23

4. Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the trinity, one with the Father and the Son, the indweller of every believer, where each is sealed until the day of the redemption of the body. Eph 4:30, John 14:17

5. The Devil
We believe in the existence and operating power of a real and personal being opposed to all righteousness and exalting himself against all that God is and has, the evil one called Satan or Devil. I Peter 5:8

6. Hell
We believe in a literal Hell, the place of eternal punishment for the wicked dead. Rev. 20:13-15

7. Heaven
We believe in a literal place called Heaven where God’s immediate presence is manifest, where the angels are, and where the redeemed shall ultimately be, from whence Christ descended and ascended again where He maketh intercession for the saints, and from whence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. Rev. 21

8. Man
We believe that God created man in His own image and in a state of innocence, but that thru temptation he willingly transgressed and became dead in trespasses and sins, whereby his posterity inherit a corrupt nature, being born in sin and under condemnation. Rom. 5:12-19

9. Salvation
We believe the the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the scripture, as a representative and substitution Mary sacrificed: that He rose from the dead in His glorified body, ascended into Heaven and as our great High Priest and advocate, He ever lives to make intercession for us: that all who believe on His name are justified on the grounds of His shed blood and receive the gift of eternal life by the grace of God. Eph 1:7, Eph 2:8-10, Col 1:14, Heb 7:25

10. Regeneration
We believe that, in order to be saved, sinners must be regenerated or born again: That regeneration consists in giving a Holy disposition to the mind; that it is effected in a manner above our comprehension by the power of the Holy Spirit, in connection with Divine Truth, so as to secure our voluntary obedience to the Gospel: That its proper evidence appears in the Holy fruits of repentance, faith and newness of life.

11. Sanctification
We believe that sanctification is the process by which, according to the will of God, we are made partakers of His holiness; that it is a progressive work; that it is begun in regeneration; and that it is carried on in the hearts of believers by the presence and power of the Holy Spirit, the Sealer and Comforter, in the continual use of the appointed means–especially the word of God, self-examination-self-denial, watchfulness, and prayer. IThess 4:3-7, Phil 2:12-13, Rom 8:5, I John 2:29

12. The Word to come
We believe that the end of this age is approaching IPeter 4:7. We believe in that “blessed hope”–the personal, intimate return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Acts 1:11, I Thess 4:13-18.
We believe in the bodily ressurrection of the just and of the unjust the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the punishment of the lost. Rev. 22:11
